Two individuals are now facing charges related to a luggage theft where a suspected irritant spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for deploying a toxic agent, as confirmed by court officials.

The charges follow an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident in the event. Several persons required hospital care and were later discharged.

The incident – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in train delays and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
